J.W Marriott Venice

So it’s time to share our home away from home in Venice…JW Mariott was definitely a special one. As much as I loved Venice for the most beautiful light, impressive architecture and the water that takes your breath away, I have to admit the city is way too crowded. It is quite hard to fully enjoy the beauty of the city when you have to squeeze through dozens of tourists in order to get that perfect shot. But knowing that at the end of the day you are taken by the a boat charter to the private island of JW Marriott (Isola delle Rose – only a 15-minute boat ride from San Marco square) away from all the crowds and noise turns the whole experience of Venice to a totally different angle.

But what was truly remarkable was our two floor loft (La Maisonette) that had an olive tree garden right in front of it. How amazing is that? An ideal retreat and a true oasis for those looking to escape the crowds of Venice. As about the design of the hotel, which always plays a huge role for me, it was modern and minimal as I like it. To be honest, I’m not the one to admire the hugely opulent design that most of the hotels in Venice have, so it was a true surprise for me to stumble across a hotel that feature clean lines and a lot of white space.

For the most amazing sunset and a sensational view over Venice there was rooftop with an infinity pool. I wish we had more time to entirely enjoy it, but we already agreed that next time we will be staying here we will assign an entire day just for Spa Treatments and pool day. I’m so looking forward to it! Like really looking forward!
